All 8th graders interested in trying out for the National Award Winning Kingwood Fillies:
A meeting will be held on April 6th at 6:30 PM in the Kingwood High School Auditorium. Actual tryouts will be held during the week of April 17-21st. Packets will be available starting March 31st at the annual Kingwood Fillies Spring Show.

The Mad Hatter Committee will help in several different ways over the next 10 weeks. This allows almost anyone to be able to serve on the committee, even if they can not attend the actual event. If you are not signed up to help by February 8th you will not be listed on the Mad Hatter's Luncheon invitation as a member of the 2017 committee.
Committee members will assist with:
- Collecting and compiling names & addresses for this years mailing list
- Stuff, stamp & mail out of invitations
- Inviting friends to the event
- Putting posters up all over the community to help advertise the event
- Collect and put together auction baskets
- Help transport auction items
- Hat Judge assistants
- Help with the Silent Auction
- Auction Check-out
Spring Show is almost here! Get tickets from your favorite Fillie or purchase them during lunch the week of the 27th.
The Kingwood Fillies are excited to participate in a joint community send off for Nationals in Fort Worth, as well as a kick off event for Dancers’ Kickin Cancer Dance-Athlon! All the directors thought it would be a fabulous idea to host a joint good luck Tail Gate send off on Sunday, March 19th from 5:00-7:00 PM. This event will be held in the parking lot of Kingwood High School equipped with a DJ, flash mob, balloon lift off, and a director pie in the face contest!
Additionally, all three organizations are uniting this year and collaborating for the L3 Dancer’s Kickin’ Cancer Dance-Athlon which is scheduled for Saturday, May 20th with our sights set on raising over $20,000 to fund research and help families fighting cancer! Pre-sales for the Dance-Athlon will be available at the Community Kickoff.
In order to pull this Tailgate off, we need a host of volunteers to donate food, grills, cooks, etc. We will be selling tickets for the tailgate meal which includes: hamburger or hot dog, chips, drink and cookie, cost will be $5.00 per adult meal and $3.00 for a child’s meal. Our funds brought in from tailgate will jump-start our Dance-Athlon fund raising. An event site will be forthcoming to purchase tickets and pre-sales for the Dance-Athlon.
Details will be given to the girls by the Social Officers.
